These Jalapeño Popper Patty Melt feature jalapenos, cream cheese, greek yogurt, parmesan cheese, whole grain bread, beef & melty cheese for a quick lunch or dinner recipe that guys on the go can enjoy!
Y’all know that my fiancé is the managing partner for a steakhouse, so he works some crazy long hours!! So sometimes he doesn’t get home until the wee hours of the morning and he’s hungry! Because I am a food blogger, there are sometimes some left-overs in the frig that he can heat up, but not always… He mentioned this when I asked him what we needed from the store last week. He asked me to pick up something that he could have on-hand to make a quick meal when he gets home on those late nights. So I added “Chris – late nights??” to my grocery list.
On my weekly Saturday shopping trip with my mom and sister, we went to Publix like we always do!! I just love Publix for many reasons, but especially because they are the grocery store with the most robust variety of products! Each trip we like to go down every aisle and I am always finding great new products to try out!
As we were going down the aisles, we got to the frozen section and there on an end cap, I spotted a solution to Chris’s late night meal challenge…Ball Park® Flame Grilled Patties!!
I quickly grabbed a bag and after reading over the packaging, I found that these are perfect for him to pop in the microwave for 65-75 seconds to have a good meal anytime of the night or morning. They are fully-cooked, 100% beef patties that have all that great flame-grilled taste, that Chris loves, but from the microwave 😉
I went ahead and purchased both the Ball Park® Flame Grilled Patties in the Original and Beef & Cheese varities. I had plans for the original patties and thought that Chris would enjoy the Beef & Cheese, so I popped those in the freezer for him.
I decided to try out the Ball Park®Flame Grilled Patties and wanted to make a Jalapeno Popper Patty Melt 😎 I created a spread out of fresh jalapenos (straight from my organic garden), reduced-fat cream cheese, non-fat greek yogurt & parmesan cheese. Then I slathered that on two pieces of whole grain bread, added the cooked patty and pepper jack cheese. Then using a panini press, I grilled the sandwich until the bread was golden brown and the cheese was ooey gooey! BTW…the left-over spread make a great dip for muching on while you getting the patty melts put together or an appetizer for later in the week 🙂
I found out that these Ball Park®Flame Grilled Patties are available in 7 different varieties, beef, turkey and chicken varieties, including the new Hickory Smoked Bacon & White Cheddar Chicken Patties. We can’t wait to try them all!!
I just love that these Ball Park®Flame Grilled Patties are ready in just about a minute!! Speaking of things that can be done in a just about a minute…Ball Park® has a Sweepstakes/Giveaway going on right now that is super easy and just take about a minute to enter!! You could win up to $1000 in prizes in their Hall of Flame Sweepstakes 🙂

Let’s get back to the ooey gooey loveliness of these Jalapeño Popper Patty Melts, shall we?!? Just look at that melty cheese!! Does that melt your heart as much as it does mine??? Pun intended 😉
Here is your recipe for Jalapeño Popper Patty Melt:
- 3 fresh jalapenos, ribs and seeds removed, chopped finely
- 8 oz. Reduced fat cream cheese, softened
- ½ cup non-fat plain greek yogurt
- ⅓ cup grated parmesan cheese
- 12 slices of whole grain bread
- 6 slices of pepper jack cheese
- 6 Ball Park® Flame Grilled Patties (Original flavor)
- Pre-heat a panini press to medium-high.
- Combine the chopped jalapenos, softened cream cheese, greek yogurt and parmesan cheese. Mix well to create a spread.
- Slather the jalapeno spread on whole grain bread slices.
- Add pepper jack cheese to six pieces of the bread.
- Cook the Ball Park® Flame Grilled Patty Originals in the microwave (65-75 seconds for one patty or 3 minutes for all six or until hot)
- Add the cooked patty to the pieces of bread that do NOT have the pepper jack cheese.
- Assemble the sandwiches by topping the Ball Park® Flame Grilled Patties with the other piece of bread with the pepper jack cheese.
- Place in a panini press and grill the sandwich until the bread is golden brown and the cheese is ooey gooey (approximately 3-4 minutes)
So, now it is your turn…thanks to Ball Park® Flame Grilled Patties you don’t have to sacrifice taste to save time. What would you do if dinner didn’t take so long to prepare?

Wow, my boyfriend would love those. They look easy to make as well. He likes his foods spicy with a bite. I would skip the jalapeno myself. Can’t have anything spicy. It messes with my GERD.
