We all want our kids to excel at school, but funding for education keeps getting cut, and so our school have little money for things like computers and other technology, books, playground equipment, field trips and classroom parties. Luckily, there is a way that we can help!!
Ever since my sister became a teacher (she is actually in her tenth year as a teacher) and she educated us on the Box Tops for Education™ Program, we all have been collecting box tops for her school. Now that lil man is in my life and in school, I want to start collecting box tops for his school as well. It’s an easy way to get extra money for your schools!! Just cut out the box tops clips and turn them into the school. The school gets 10 cents for each box top clip that is turned in. Their schools can may earn up to, but not more than, $20,000 cash per year from the Clip program!! They can use the Box Tops cash to buy whatever they need!! Imagine how much that would help…
When I found out that right now they are offering Bonus Box Tops, that is 5 Box Tops on participating items or 50 cents for your school per product, I definitely wanted to get my hands on some of those!! This offer is only available in-store on specially marked packaging at Walmart. So off to Walmart I went 🙂
I started off on the cereal aisle and I saw a ton of products that had the Bonus Box Tops!! You can’t miss them with the big black banner across the front of the packaging 😉 I picked up a box of Lucky Charms for lil man since it is his favorite cereal. Then I picked up a package of Fiber One Mint Fudge Brownies for me 😉 I actually haven’t tried this flavor, but I love having Fiber One bars and snacks on-hand at work to snack on during the day.
Next I headed over to the refrigerated section to pick up a couple of tubes of Crescent Rolls. I had an idea for dinner that if all went well, would make an appearance on my next game day spread (spoiler alert: it went really well and you will be reading all about it in my next post 😉 ) I can’t believe that college football starts this weekend, but I am so ready!! We just love college football season in our family!!
And just like that I would have $2 for our school after I turned in my Bonus Box Tops 😛
The Box Tops for Education™s one of America’s largest school earnings loyalty programs over 80,000 k-8 schools participate and they have contributed over $525 million to participating schools since the launch of the program in 1996.
You can find the entire (long) list of participating Bonus Box Top products by clicking –> HERE <–
What Bonus Box Tops products will you buy to earn some extra cash for your school? I’d love to hear about it in the comments below 🙂
