To those of you that are frequent readers of Becky’s Best Bites (and thank you from the bottom of my heart BTW!!), it comes as no surprise that my fur-babies are more than just pets, they’re members of our family! Just to recap and for anyone who is new here, we have a dog, named Joey, and a cat, named Gabbi! Both are rescues, full of personality and totally spoiled!! Gabbi makes more of an appearance on the blog because she doesn’t run from the camera like Joey does 😉
When people ask me if I am more of a “cat-person” or a “dog-person,” I tell them that I am an “animal-person!” However, I do love how independent, curious yet loving cats are! It is so convenient that you don’t have to worry about taking them outside, and as long as they have plenty of food and water, they are pretty self-sufficient. I do have to say, though, the one thing I feel is a necessary evil is the litter box. It is not my favorite, not at all. I do everything in my power to make it as clean and carefree as possible. That is why I have an automatic litter box (it cleans on its own).
I absolutely cannot stand litter box odors and when I was asked to try out ARM & HAMMER™ Clump & Seal™ MicroGuard™ Cat Litter, I was very curious and intrigued about their 7 Day Odor Control Guarantee. That was like music to my cat-lovin’ ears! The thought of no frantic cleanings right before guests arrive… I pride myself on the fact that you can walk into my home and never know that an indoor cat lived there, so I had to check this product out!
Did you know that even after you scoop, bacterial odor can keep growing? YUCK!! I had no idea, but that made me even more excited to give this product a try with its innovative, MicroGuard™ technology that seals and destroys immediate odor, plus, prevents the growth of future bacterial odors.
I picked up the ARM & HAMMER™ Clump & Seal™ MicroGuard™ Cat Litter during our weekly shopping trip to Target. I brought it home and set it out for Gabbi to check out. She can be a bit of a diva and I wanted to see what her reaction to the scent would be. It didn’t seem overwhelming or perfumy to me, but with her keen kitty sense of smell, I wanted to make sure.
She checked it out and gave it her stamp of approval! We have used the product for over a week now and are very impressed!! I haven’t had to worry about little box odor at all. Her litter box is in my laundry room, and the back door that is off of that room is the entrance/exit that we use the most. You walk in and smell nothing but a fresh and clean scent!
The litter also clumps well and the automatic cat litter box doesn’t have any trouble scooping up the clumps. This has been a problem in the past.
I have also noticed that there is no dust tracked onto my floors. Another big bonus!!
Gabbi has officially given her approval of ARM & HAMMER™ Clump & Seal™ MicroGuard™ Cat Litter! Be sure to check out their website to try it out for your family! Also be sure to go to ARM & HAMMER™’s Facebook and Instagram pages and post of picture of your fur-baby with the hashtag #clumpandseal 🙂

I found a tiny feral kitten just after the July 4th holiday this year. I took her in and bottle fed her, and now she’s healthy and active (I jokingly say she has ADHA, which actually isn’t far from the truth). With her being so small and getting into so much – and us having two other cats and three Treeing Walker Coonhounds, I do keep her crated at night and when we’re not home. She has a little litter box – a clear plastic container from the dollar store. She’s great about going potty in her little litter box, but even though she has a bed and blankets and such, she insists on sleeping in her litter box. However, first she has to scoop it, and any poop or clumps get kicked out and into her bed. She then proceeds to sleep in the litter box – with whatever litter is left. She’s even dumped in completely out, flipped it, and “hid” under it – hard to do with a clear container, but beyond adorable. She does make a real mess with it. At least she treats the full-sized litter boxes in our house as she should. That’s my Kotoha!
Becky says
That is such a great story, Linda!! Thank you for sharing 🙂 Sounds like your Kotoha has a lot of personality and y’all are lucky to have found each other!!

We had our cat Shadow before our kids were born. After our first son was born, our cat took a huge liking to our first son and basically adores him. Every night for years now, Shadow will crawl in bed with him until he falls asleep. He doesn’t do this with any of our other kids. After he’s sound asleep, Shadow will then come in bed with me.

This might fall more into the weird column, I’m not sure. My Chloe isn’t a biter at all…except when it comes to my mom’s right calf. We’ve never figured out why. Anytime my mom comes over, as soon as she sits down, Chloe comes over and wraps her front legs around her ankle and starts biting. Never the left ankle, never anyone else, I’ve tried everything I can think of to get her to stop.
She’s the sweetest cat otherwise, very mild-mannered. It’s the oddest thing.

He loves to be held, he cries if in another room with a shut door. He gets seperation anxiety. He paces by the front door (or so I’m told) when it is close to time for me to get home from work. When I walk in the door, he stands up on his hind legs wanting to be picked up. He sleeps laying across my chest or lap. He is the most loving cat. He also always wags his tail, even when he’s asleep. They say cats only wag their tails when they’re angry or annoyed, but Milo wags his nonstop, even when I fill his food, or while resting.

We don’t have a cat in our home, but we do have 3 outdoor cats that are “strays” that live in our court and love our yard. They are so sweet and really beautiful. They were born in our next door neighbors yard under a storage room. They would climb thru a knot hole in the fence when the were kittens and play in our yard all day. My dog never even had any idea this was going on! I used to love to watch them play with each other, being silly as only kittens can. I feed them along with another neighbor and they are really sweet cats. They have even made friends with another of our court pets, a stray bunny (someones old pet that they let go). Its black and likes to sit on our yard as well, the cats just hang with him at night. We drive up and they are all sitting in the yard together.

She can give head!”. The cashier turned bright red and I had a bit of splainin’ to do haha.
