My sisters and my mom hosted my Bridal Shower last weekend at the community art center that is my “day job.” One of the perks of working there is that it is a lovely venue space and I can use it for personal events. Mom loves this because now, her house is no longer the “go-to” place for all family events. That means that she doesn’t have do quite as much cleaning and we don’t have to worry about rain and the dirt roads (BTW…it poured right as the shower was ending and that would have been a mess if we were at mom’s).
My sisters did an over-the-top job on my bridal shower!! It was everything that I could have dreamed of and more 😀 It was wine & cheese themed along with my navy and sunflowers that I will be using at the wedding. They really out did themselves (as you will see in all the pictures that are coming…just a warning)!! My girls came down from Atlanta and Columbus too and they helped out so much!! It all came together beautifully and even if I don’t like being the center of attention, I think it all went really well 🙂
Before we get started with the pictures, I want to say that these are NOT pictures taken by me. My extremely talented sister, Amy, took the pictures. She does AMAZING portriat pictures!! Please check out her facebook page –> HERE <– & if you are looking for a Portrait Photographer with a focus on families, kids, and seniors, you should check her out. She is located in South Georgia, but will travel regionally.
Ok, are you ready for some pics?
Cute signs that they got me that I will be using at the wedding too 😀
Presents!! YAY 😆 Don’t you just love the “wall” that they made out of streamers? So creative!!
Centerpieces and my “special” bottle of wine! These centerpieces (minus the flowers, of course) have now been used at both my sister’s weddings and several showers!! Amy made the fabulous toppers too 🙂 We played Bridal Bingo & each guest filled out a card with advice for the bride. The wine is one of my favs and very resonably priced 😛
Have you ever seen someone get so excited over bowls??? I must be a food blogger 😉 I registered for and then received a number of fun bowls, plates, platter and other foodie stuff 😛 Hey, Chris didn’t want to participate in creating the registries, so I put what I wanted on them…he…he.. 😈
“The girls” –> Next stop…PCB for my bachelorette weekend!!!! 😯 😛 🙂 😎 😀
Thank you so much to my two beautiful sisters (pictured above) for the BEST bridal shower a girl could ever want!! It was absolutely perfect and a day that I will treasure FOREVER!!! I am so blessed to have them in my life <3
After the shower, we all went back to my mom & dad’s house to watch the first day of college football and that is where the “real” party started!! We had pretty much the whole SEC represented…Florida, Georgia, Alabama, Auburn and Mississippi State 😆
You know what I just realized? Two months from today is the wedding!! YIKES 😮 So, if you don’t see me around on the blog as much for the next couple of months, you will know why…

This looks like it was such a fun shower. I love all the personal touches that they added for you — and the fact that the centerpieces had been used at other people’s showers. I love that. And getting excited over bowls is awesome. I was so excited when I opened our bamboo garbage pail (for our bathroom) at my shower. It’s the little things!
