Recommitting to my health in the new year is not a resolution but a promise! That includes making better choices about how I fuel my body, including increasing my hydration with Tsamma Original Watermelon Juice!
I’ll admit that in 2017 I wasn’t committed to my health as much as I have been in the past. Ok, well maybe for the first two months I was ;). I was pregnant with Baby Girl in January and February so those were good months. I was very diligent about my health while I was pregnant, even more than usual because I was creating a child. Being trained as a health coach, I have been taught about health and wellness and how to make the best choices. But once Baby Girl was here, I let that slide somewhat, between being laser focused on her and the sleep deprivation that comes with having a newborn. Now that she is nearly 11 months old, she has a pretty consistent schedule, is mobile, sleeping well and now she is eating the food that we are eating. We plan to be completely weaned off formula by 1 year. So…CHEERS!! I am recommitting to my health in the new year!!
In my health coach training, I learned just how important adequate hydration is to our health and wellness! When the body is adequately hydrated, it functions at its best! Did you know that it is crucial to staying healthy and maintaining the function of every system in your body, including your heart, brain, and muscles? I know, crazy right!?! When your body is hydrated it is able get the nutrients to your cells, can flush bacteria and eliminate toxins. I drink a ton of water to stay hydrated, but let’s face it, sometimes water gets boring and we need another option. That why I was so excited to find Tsamma (pronounced SAH-MAH) Watermelon Juice in the produce section at my local Publix recently with other refrigerated juices!
I saw “Performance Hydration” on the label and was intrigued to find out more! Tsamma Watermelon Juice is scientifically proven to aid in rapid re-hydration and athletic recovery. In fact, it is fueling the University of Alabama’s football team as a rapid-rehydrator after practices and games. Maybe that’s their secret?? 😉
I had never heard of drinking watermelon juice, but love watermelon itself so I wanted to learn more. I found out that watermelons contain Vitamins A, B, and C. These vitamins are essential for many functions, including proper immune system function, skin health, and increased metabolism. They also have antioxidant properties to remove harmful free radicals. In fact watermelons contains 4 times the amount of lycopene in a tomato; a powerful antioxidant. I also learned that cold-pressed watermelon juice (like Tsamma) is the best choice for hydration due to it being a natural source of L-citrulline, lycopene, and potassium. You can learn more about Tsamma Watermelon Juice and Performance Hydration by visiting their website –> Tsammajuice.com like I did!!
I stocked up on Tsamma Original Watermelon Juice & Tsamma Watermelon Juice + Coconut Water Blend on my last trip to Publix. I was browsing through the Publix Weekly Ad (I have their app on my phone) and this frugal gal was excited that they were offering a $1 off coupon on Tsamma Watermelon Juice! You can grab it in the Publix Weekly Ad at your local store or go << HERE >> for a digital coupon from January 27 – February 25.
I have a fun little tip (or maybe hack) for you if you struggle to get your hydration in throughout the day 🙂 I like to put my watermelon juice or water in a fun wine glass with some fruit to feel fancy and change things up!! If you are anything like me, you have one glass or bottle that you tend to drink from throughout the day! And that can get B-O-R-I-N-G!! I find if you mix it up it makes it easier to get your hydration! These glasses that I show in the pictures here are a Christmas present from my mother-in-law. Aren’t they gorgeous??? They are hand blown glass from Mexico! I am just loving them and I feel like I am getting a treat when I drink out of them with a pretty straw 🙂
Remember to grab a coupon for Tsamma Watermelon Juice and grab some on your next trip to Publix. It is no sugar added, gluten free, no artificial colors or flavors, non-GMO, soy free, kosher, antioxidant rich, rich in vitamin A + C.
So do you have any tips to help with my pledge of recommitting to my health in the New Year?? Let me know in the comments 🙂 Y’all always have the best ideas and I love reading them!!
