This is one to add to the weeknight rotation, a slow cooker spicy spaghetti, that is a one pot wonder! Ten minutes in the morning before work and you’ve got dinner:) Inspired by this recipe but adapted to make it my own.
Throw all your prepped ingredients into your slow cooker, yes even your frozen lean ground beef. Turn your slow cooker on low and 8 hours later…Slow Cooker Spicy Spaghetti, aka…dinner is served.
Add your whole wheat pasta a half an hour before dinner, turn the crock pot up to high to cook your pasta.

Ingredients
- 1 lb 93% lean ground beef
- 6 large tomatoes diced (or 2-14 oz cans of diced tomatoes)
- 1-6oz can tomato paste
- 1-14 oz can tomato sauce
- 1 jalapeno pepper
- 1 vidalia onion, diced
- 3 cloves garlic, grated or diced
- 3 Tbsp fresh basil, chopped
- 2 Tbsp fresh spicy oregano, chopped
- 1½ tsp sea salt
- 8 cranks fresh black peppercorns
- 16 oz uncooked penne pasta (whole wheat or gluten free)
Instructions
- Wash, prep and chop all veggies
- Mix all ingredients together in slow cooker.
- Cover, turn on low and heat for 8 hours.
- Add pasta, turn to high for 30 minutes.
- Mix and enjoy!!
