Southwest Corn Tortilla Chips recipe + GOODFOODS guacamole & dips = Easy, guilt free and crowd pleasing Thanksgiving and/or Game Day appetizers and snacks!! #ShareTheGoodness #GoodFoods #Ad
Have you ever heard of or maybe hosted a “Friendsgiving?” If you don’t know what it is, simply put, it is a Thanksgiving dinner held before actual day held with friends!! A big potluck where the host supplies the turkey and/or ham and the guests bring all the other dishes. For some, it is a Thanksgiving celebration that they throw because they are to far away from their families to celebrate the holidays with them. For others, like us, it is just an excuse to get a bunch of friends together, have a blast and eat another Thanksgiving dinner. My sister started a new tradition this year by hosting a Friendsgiving at her house this past weekend 🙂
She held hers this past weekend, so there was plenty of good college football to watch too!! So it actually was a Game Day/Friendsgiving as we watched our favorite teams play and enjoyed each other’s company 😉 Each guest/family contributes a dish or dishes to the dinner party and as you can see, I was asked to supply the appetizers and then a couple of the veggies for the main meal. Thank goodness GOODFOODS came to the rescue and made my job super easy with their delicious, chunky guacamole and fresh dips!! I just added some super easy Southwest Corn Tortilla Chips to go with them 🙂
I picked up these little lifesavers at my local Publix store in the produce section refrigerator case! I grabbed several of each variety that they had, so that we had plenty for the 30+ people that were expected at Friendsgiving 🙂 We tried out the GOODFOODS Tableside Chunky Guacamole & Southwest Guacamole and GOODFOODS Greek Yogurt Artichoke Jalapeno Dip & Feta Cucumber Dip. All super YUMMY!!
Everyone was really impressed with taste the GOODFOODS guacs and dips and thought that they were homemade!! I, of course, shared with them that they weren’t homemade, but were GOODFOODS and where to find them! I also had to share that GOODFOODS is always fresh and never heated. It’s made without any artificial ingredients—just the good stuff so I was more than happy to serve it 🙂

These GOODFOODS guacamoles and dips were such a crowd pleaser at the Friendsgiving/Gameday! In fact, everyone kept coming back for more and more!! Making the Southwest Corn Tortilla Chips couldn’t have been simpler either but they made a big impression;-)
Just grab a big ‘ol bag of regular corn tortillas and cut them into fourths.
Lay them out on a baking sheet, spray with nonstick cooking spray and then sprinkle with southwest spices, salt and pepper and bake for 15-18 minutes or until golden brown and crispy!!
Serve with your favorite GOODFOODS guacamole and dips and sit back and let the compliments just roll in 😉
You can adjust the spices in these Southwest Corn Tortilla Chips to yours and your guest’s liking! I kept it pretty mild this time, even though we like all things spicy because I was feeding the crowd at the Friendsgiving/Game Day festivities!!
